Spicy Beef w/Pasta Shells - Orgran

  • brown onion (approx. 1 large brown onion)
  • 5 tablespoons chilli infused oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, peeled and crushed
  • 2 tablespoons ORGRAN All Purpose Plain Flour
  • Heart Smart beef stir fry strips
  • 2 teaspoons ground ginger
  • 1 small piece of fresh root ginger, grated
  • 1 teaspoon coriander
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 3 teaspoons curry powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper, as desired
  • 2 teaspoons fresh chilli, finely chopped
  • can diced tomatoes
  • can lite coconut cream
  • 1 package ORGRAN Corn & Vegetable Pasta Shells


  • 1. Peel and cut onion into small dice.
  • 2. Pour 2 tablespoons chilli infused oil into a medium-sized frying pan. Add onion and garlic and sauté (lightly fry). Set aside.
  • 3. Put flour into a medium-sized zip-seal bag. Add beef strips to bag. Seal bag and coat beef strips with flour.
  • 4. Pour 3 more tablespoons oil into frying pan. Add beef strips. Fry over a gentle heat, tossing lightly to prevent sticking. Do not overcook, or meat may be tough. Return onion and garlic to pan.
  • 5. Add ground ginger, root ginger, coriander, cumin, turmeric, paprika, curry powder, garam masala, salt and freshly ground black pepper to pan.
  • 6. Put chilli and tomatoes into pan and stir. Simmer over a gentle heat while cooking pasta.
  • 7. Cook pasta according to the directions on the packet.
  • 8. Serve with cooked pasta shells.
