Mediterranean Lamb Pasta - Orgran

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • lamb fillet, chopped
  • 3 rashers bacon, chopped
  • pinch ground cinnamon
  • pinch cayenne pepper
  • 1 chicken stock cube
  • 1 tablespoon tomato puree
  • tomatoes, chopped
  • black olives, pitted
  • 1 sprig fresh rosemary
  • 2 sprigs fresh thyme
  • 75 millilitres boiling water
  • Salt and pepper, to season
  • 1 package ORGRAN Spirals of choice
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley, to serve


  • Heat half the oil in a frying pan and fry the onion until soft. Add the rest of the oil to the pan and fry the bacon and lamb for a further 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Add the spices, crumble in the stock cube, then add the tomato puree, tomatoes, olives and herbs and pour in the boiling water.
  • Bring the mixture back to the boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 8 to 10 minutes. Season to taste.
  • Meanwhile, cook the ORGRAN pasta according to packet instructions. Drain and toss with 1tbsp of butter.
  • To serve, spoon pasta into bowls, spoon over the sauce and top with parsley.
