All ORGRAN products are Vegan and produced without any animal derivatives, ensuring efficient use of land resources and protection to animals.
Our philosophy and guidelines for ORGRAN is to provide the purest, natural foods for better health and wellbeing, whilst also embracing the ethics and respect for our environment and the animal kingdom. As with all ingredients used, ORGRAN endeavours to source local ingredients from reliable and trusted suppliers and we would certainly not support any environmental, animal or human exploitation.
ORGRAN is proud to have made the move towards minimising carbon emissions, reducing overall energy consumption and actively participating in the global fight against climate change.
Now powering a substantial portion of Roma Food Products’ head office and production facility, any excess power is directly transferred back into the grid, allowing the company to share its clean energy with both commercial and residential properties within the area.
The recent installation of 694 solar panels commenced in December 2017 and yields a total of 276,000 kWh per year.
Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil
ORGRAN has an ongoing commitment to only source palm oil from suppliers that undertake environmentally sustainable practices.
All palm oil used in ORGRAN products is sourced from companies who are members of the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO), who are actively working to ensure sustainable agricultural practices, and to secure the habitat of Orangutans.

Our Company acts as a custodian to almost 1000 acres of unspoilt rural land that is protected from the disturbance of any farming activities and noxious weeds.
The conservation of this land is funded by ORGRAN in the interest of preserving the environment’s unique ecology and its natural native aspects. This is part of our ongoing commitment to offset and minimize carbon emissions and lead in the global challenge of climate change.
Roma Food Products works closely with local water authorities to identify opportunities to reduce our water consumption. Our company has installed large scale water tanks to minimise our reliance on the local water supply. The collection of this water has been utilised for many industrial applications only, such as cooling of equipment and grounds maintenance.
Energy Consumption & Recycling
Roma Food Products is also focused on reducing its energy consumption and is implementing strategies to support this.
Our action plans contain specific objectives to minimise the use of packaging material, to use recyclable materials and reduce waste. It also ensures the environmental impacts of consumer packaging waste are minimised and are managed efficiently.
Roma Food Products have implemented initiatives that have:
- Reduced packaging waste via increased use of recyclable packaging material.
- Reduced overall company landfill waste by working closely with suppliers and partners.
- Reduced production waste by increasing internal production efficiencies.
- Reduced reliance on local water supply through the installation of rain water tanks.
- Reduced office paper consumption and installed office recycling programs.
Australian Packaging Covenant (APC)
ORGRAN is a member of the Australian Packaging Covenant (APC), which is a sustainable packaging initiative, aiming to change the culture of business to design more sustainable packaging, increase recycling rates and reduce packaging litter.
