Yeast Free Donuts - Orgran



  • ORGRAN Premium Bread Mix
  • 150 millilitres lukewarm water
  • grated zest of half a lemon
  • a few drops of vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon rum or rum flavor
  • sugar
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • oil for frying
  • sugar and cinnamon mix


  • 1. With the exception of oil, put all the ingredients in a bowl. Once combined add the oil.
  • 2. If you have a spiral kneading machine you can use this, if not hand kneed
  • 3. The dough does not need to be proofed before cooking, roll into 6 inch balls. If you oil up your hands this will be easier. You can form a hole in the middle, but they will swell during cooking
  • 4. Heat oil in a large pan to fry the dough balls
  • 5. Place carefully in the oil and cook until golden brown. Flip and cook the other side
  • 6. Remove from the oil and place on paper towels to drain some of the oil off
  • 7. Whilst still hot, sprinkle with the sugar and cinnamon or top with jam of choice.
