Fried Asparagus Fingers - Orgran

Ingredients

  • 2 cups ORGRAN Quinoa Flakes
  • 1 bunches of Asparagus, depending on how many you want
  • 2 teaspoons ORGRAN No Egg™ Egg Replacer, prepared as per packet instructions
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of turmeric
  • Ingredients for mayonnaise:
  • 2 tablespoons ORGRAN No Egg™ Egg Replacer, prepared as per packet instructions
  • 1 pinch of turmeric
  • rapeseed oil
  • 2 tablespoons Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • Freshly ground pepper

Method

  • Break off the lower part of the Asparagus, wash them and dry them on paper towel.
  • Place the ORGRAN No Egg™, Egg replacer with six tablespoons of water, add turmeric and beat together well.
  • Coat the asparagus in the "egg" mixture, then the flakes and then fry them in hot oil.
  • Put the fried asparagus on a paper napkin to drain the excess fat.
  • They are best served warm, however can be consumed cold.
  • For the preparation of mayonnaise add the egg substitute and water and mix well.
  • While stirring continuously (with a hand blender) add the salt, pepper, turmeric and then slowly add oil until the mass increases as mayonnais.
  • Finally, stir in the vinegar in. Taste test it, if the mayonnaise had no taste and is bland add more salt and add a little vinegar.
