Cheesy Dumpling Swirls - Orgran



  • Ingredients for the dough:
  • flour ORGRAN Multi-Purpose Flour
  • ORGRAN Gluten Free Gluten Substitute
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 table spoon ORGRAN No Egg™, Egg Replacer made to packet instructions
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • Ingredients for curd filling:
  • full-fat cottage cheese or a vegan substitute
  • full-fat sour cream or a vegan substitute
  • salt (a pinch of salt for sweet dumplings, for savory dumplings add a little more salt),
  • low fat margarine
  • Ingredients for the topping of:
  • 3 -4 tablespoons of ORGRAN Premium Bread Crumbs
  • low fat margarine
  • cinnamon and Icing sugar (for sweet dumplings)


  • 1. Place flour, salt, ORGRAN No Egg™, Egg Replacer, water and oil in a large bowl and mix until you can knead the dough into a compact ball.
  • 2. Leave the dough covered to rest for about half an hour.
  • 3. Roll out the dough on non-stick paper, roll to a 2 mm thickness. Brush it with softened margarine.
  • 4. for the filling simply mix the ingredients and spread it on the dough. Leave a margin on the top to stick the rolls together once rolled.
  • 5. Roll the dough into a spiral and wrap tightly in foil. Poach in salted boiling water for 5-10 minutes.
  • 6. To cook the dumplings over steam, they may be cut to the desired size before steaming. Cook for 5 minutes.
  • 7. In a separate pan, melt the low fat margarine and add the ORGRAN breadcrumbs and fry them until golden.
  • 8. Sweet dumplings sprinkled with powdered sugar and cinnamon, savory dumplings are usually served as a side dish.
