Bran Scones
|
Ingredients:
2 tbs Orgran No Egg
3 cups Orgran plain flour
1 tsp salt
1 tbs baking powder
½ cup rice bran
2 cups milks
½ cup butter
½ cup brown sugar4 tbs water |

Method:
Sift flour, salt and baking powder together. Soak bran in milk for 5 minutes.
Cream butter and sugar together. Beat in Orgran No Egg and water. Add bran mixture and stir. Fold in flour.
Fill greased muffin tins to 2/3 fill. Bake for 25 minutes.
To make butter cream:
Combine the chopped chocolate, butter, cream and icing sugar in a small pan. Stir over low heat until the mixture is smooth and glossy. Spread the chocolate butter cream over the top of the cake with spatula.
Makes approximately 15 scones.

Preparation:
Preheat oven to 200C ° |

Recipe Lemon Pie
|
Ingredients:
45g Orgran No Egg
350mls warm water
225g sugar
40g Orgran All Purpose Flour
60mls lemon juice 3 tsps grated lemon rind
1tbsp vegetable oil

Method:
In a pot, gradually add the water a little at a time to the combined ingredients and stir thoroughly to mix. Continue stirring over high heat until smooth and thick. Cool for 5 mins, pour into baked pie shell & refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

|
Chocolate desserts
|
Ingredients:
3 tbs Orgran No Egg
6 tbs granulated sugar
2 ½ tbs dutch cocoa
1 ¼ cups milk or water

Method:
In a saucepan mix Orgran No Egg, sugar & cocoa.
Gradually stir in the liquid until smooth. Heat this over a medium heat, stirring constantly until boiling and the sauce is thick and smooth.
Serving suggestion: Pour mixture into individual serve glasses and allow to cool and set.

Rissoles
|
Ingredients:
1 chopped onion
28g butter or margarine
170g minced meat
2 tsp No Egg
2tbs water
1tsp chopped parsley (optional)
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp black pepper (optional)

Method:
Gently fry onion in the margarine until soft and transparent
Mix into meat and seasoning. In a separate bowl whisk No Egg and water together then add to meat mixture and thoroughly mix all together. Shape into desired size round balls, makes around 6
Optional coating
2tbs No Egg
4tbs Water
¼ cup Orgran All Purpose Crumbs
Method
Whisk together No Egg and water. Dip pre shaped balls into coating batter and then into the crumbs. Heat some oil in a shallow frying pan and fry the rissoles on both sides until golden brown
Drain on absorbent kitchen paper. Serve hot or cold.
