Choc Dipped Cream Puffs with Custard Filling

Ingredients

Method

  • Preheat oven to 200°C.
  • Combine butter and water in a saucepan until boiled.
  • Remove from heat and quickly add flour. Beat with a wooden spoon until the mixture leaves the sides of the saucepan. Allow to cool for 5 minutes.
  • Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition until the mixture is glossy.
  • Spoon a teaspoon of mixture onto a cooking tray lined with baking paper. Bake for 30 minutes or until puffs and golden.
  • After 30 minutes, lower oven temperature to 120°C and continue baking for 15 minutes.
  • Cool thoroughly. Pipe custard into the puff by poking a hole in the bottom of the puff with the piping nozzle.
  • Melt the cooking chocolate and dip in each puff. Sit on baking paper to set and enjoy.
