Roma Food Products, originally established in 1953 is today the manufacturer of quality, alternative grain foods under the Orgran and Buontempo brands. In 1984, two brothers recognised a need in the market place to cater for those with food allergies, and so the Orgran brand was established. Specialising in natural gluten free foods for better health and wellbeing, Orgran is now the trusted brand for Coeliacs and other allergy sufferers around the world, exporting to 55 countries worldwide.
Roma Food Products is a proactive company with unrivalled manufacturing techniques derived from extensive Research and Development and the ongoing innovation of new products in the dedicated gluten free manufacturing plant.
The Orgran brand has positioned itself as a leading brand in many countries around the world.
As a company, we aim to identify where a demand for gluten free foods may exist, or where products can be adapted to suit the growing demand for alternative grain foods by health conscious consumers.

After many years of market research and market expectations Roma Food Products are very proud of their achievement in selling pasta to the Italians. Roma Food Products remains as a private family owned company, still today.
ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY
Roma Food Products has implemented an environmental policy that highlights our commitment to protecting the environment across every facet of our business.
All Orgran products are Vegan and produced without any animal derivatives ensuring efficient use of land resources and protection to animals.
Our philosophy and guidelines for Orgran is simply to provide the purest natural foods for better health and well being, whilst also embracing the ethics and respect for our environment and the animal kingdom. As with all ingredients that we use, we endeavour to source local ingredients from reliable and trusted suppliers and we would certainly not support any environmental, animal or human exploitation.
Orgran has an ongoing commitment to only source Palm Oil from suppliers that undertake environmentally sustainable practices. All palm oil used in Orgran products is sourced from companies who are members of the Roundtable for Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO), who are actively working to ensure sustainable agricultural practices, and to secure the habitat of Orang-utans. Our company is further limiting air, land and water emissions and continually working towards the efficient use of resources.
We work closely with local water authorities to identify opportunities to reduce our water consumption. The company has recently installed large scale water tanks to minimise, wherever possible, our reliance on the local water supply. The collection of this water has been utilised for many industrial applications only, such as cooling of equipment and grounds maintainance.
Roma Food Products is also focused on reducing its energy consumption and is implementing strategies to support this.
Our action plans contain specific objectives to minimise the use of packaging material, to use recyclable materials and reduce waste. It also ensures the environmental impacts of consumer packaging waste are minimised and are managed efficiently.
Roma Food Products has recently implemented initiatives that have;
- Reduced packaging waste via increased use of recyclable packaging material
- Reduced overall company landfill waste by working closely with suppliers and partners
- Reduced production waste by increasing internal production efficiencies
- Reduced reliance on local water supply through the installation of rain water tanks
- Reduced office paper consumption and installed office recycling programs
